January 22: Worship Zone Update
Greetings all! I hope the New Year is going well for all of you.
I would like to take this opportunity to inform you that I am taking a leave of absence as worship Zone Coordinator. In November I contemplated a full resignation but, on the advice of the Admin Board and others close to me, decided that a leave of absence was more appropriate. I announced this at our membership meeting in December and my leave officially started Jan 8 and will run through May of this year. My reasons for this action are two-fold: 1. I have some pressing personal issues that need my full attention and; 2. I need time to “reconnect to the vine”. I have served as coordinator for 7 years, and with personal issues and a change at my full time day job, I find myself with little time to listen to what God is saying and what His plans might be. In November I was at a spiritual low point and needed to reconnect to the grace and peace of Christ. I have already noticed a positive change and feel that God is sustaining me more than ever these past few weeks! Praise the Lord for his mercy and compassion!
I would like to thank our leadership here at Hope for extending me this leave, and I’m thankful for the way our worship teams and leaders have stepped up to take on the workload in my absence. A full worship schedule has been put in place through May so there will be little change in your Sunday worship experience. I will also still be leading a worship service once a month. The worship committee has divided the coordinator’s duties so all aspects of our worship services will be well looked after. If anyone has comments or questions about the worship at Hope Fellowship I invite you to contact Addy (clerk) or Neil (chair) of the worship committee.
Peace to you all, Mike Broersma
